Mark started his Chick-fil-A career in 1977 working as an hourly team member at Southlake Mall in Morrow, GA. In 1978, Mark joined the corporate staff as the sixteenth employee – he divided his time between the warehouse and mailroom.
Since then, Mark has served in corporate communications, field operations, quality and customer satisfaction, training and development, organizational effectiveness, and high performance leadership.
In addition to his work with Chick-fil-A, Mark is an author and communicator. His desire to encourage and equip leaders has taken him around the world. Today, there are almost a million copies of his books in print in 25 languages. His latest book, Leaders Made Here, was released in March 2017.
Mark also enjoys an active lifestyle, including traveling to hard-to-reach places. Over the years, he’s photographed penguins in Antarctica, silverback gorillas in Rwanda, and the Nepalese culture at the base camp of Mount Everest.
